Once your Etsy shop sells about once a day, spend your tool money on the work that piles up as it grows, not on more research. That means bulk edits, new batches, VA access, several shops and profit after fees. We make Listadum, and it covers all five on Etsy. Keep Etsy’s free tools for research and buyer messages.
I’ve sold on Etsy since 2020. Somewhere around a hundred listings, the work quietly changes. It stops being about making things and starts being about maintaining them. This list is sorted by the jobs that take over your week once your shop is established, and what each tool costs a shop like that.
How rare an established shop is on Etsy
In Listadum’s snapshot of active Etsy shops on October 14, 2026 (physical and digital shops counted together), the median shop (the one right in the middle) made no sales in the last 28 days in 14 of Etsy’s 15 top categories. A shop that sells about once a day, 28 sales in 28 days, sells more than at least 3 in 4 active shops in every category, and more than 9 in 10 in 12 of the 15.1
| Category | Active shops | Median shop’s sales, 28 days | 3 in 4 shops sold at most | 9 in 10 shops sold at most |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Home & Living | 536,665 | 0 | 3 | 17 |
| Art & Collectibles | 491,743 | 0 | 1 | 9 |
| Paper & Party Supplies | 371,869 | 0 | 1 | 13 |
| Clothing | 296,986 | 0 | 1 | 12 |
| Jewelry | 195,125 | 0 | 3 | 19 |
| Craft Supplies & Tools | 192,872 | 1 | 14 | 68 |
| Accessories | 131,508 | 0 | 5 | 26 |
| Books, Movies & Music | 129,892 | 0 | 0 | 4 |
| Toys & Games | 119,354 | 0 | 3 | 19 |
| Bath & Beauty | 56,829 | 0 | 1 | 12 |
| Bags & Purses | 55,565 | 0 | 1 | 10 |
| Electronics & Accessories | 50,197 | 0 | 6 | 29 |
| Weddings | 46,498 | 0 | 2 | 24 |
| Pet Supplies | 25,986 | 0 | 5 | 29 |
| Shoes | 8,535 | 0 | 3 | 13 |
Size tells the same story. With 100 active listings, your shop is bigger than 3 in 4 active shops in every one of those categories.1
Most tool lists read as if they were written for that median shop. It hasn’t made a sale in 28 days, so it needs buyers, and research is the right buy. At a sale a day, the hours go somewhere else: the same edit on two hundred listings, a new batch that takes a whole day to list, a helper who needs to get in, a second shop. That’s where the money should go first.
The short version: Etsy seller tools by job

The best Etsy seller tools for an established shop
1. Listadum
Main job: running a shop with hundreds of listings, several shops or a helper, on Etsy’s official API. We built the multi-shop dashboard because we needed it ourselves, and between us we run four shops.2
- Change listings in bulk. Bulk Edit replaces titles and descriptions, searches and replaces across titles, descriptions, tags and materials, adds tags from your keyword lists, and changes prices, photos, alt text and videos. Every change waits in a queue until you publish. It works on one shop at a time.
- List new batches. Bulk Create turns a folder of photos into listings, one subfolder per product, with optional text files for the title, tags and price. You can also copy up to 25 listings at a time to another shop.
- Bring in help. With Teams, each person gets their own login with an Admin or Member role, so nobody needs your Etsy password, and you choose whether each person sees your profit numbers. Listadum can’t message buyers or manage orders, because Etsy’s API doesn’t allow it. That part stays with Etsy’s shared access.
- Several shops, one login. Connect every shop to one account and switch between them.
- Profit after fees. Profit tracking brings in orders, shipping costs, cost of goods and expenses next to your Etsy revenue.
Cost for the 300-listing shop: Growth, $30 a month per shop, or $20 a month billed yearly. The Free plan is $0 forever and includes the listing manager, a completion score on every listing, shop critique and the Chrome extension. See all plans.3
Built for: sellers with 100 or more listings, several shops or a VA. In customers’ words: “I joined so I could give my VA access without turning off 2FA on Etsy” (SewWithTaraReed), and “I love that I can make updates to all my Etsy listings in one place no matter how many shops I have” (SpoosyBooCo).4
2. Etsy’s own free tools
Main job: everything Etsy gives every seller in Shop Manager, at no extra cost.
- Bulk edit. Select listings and change titles, tags, descriptions, prices, custom options, production partners, renewal options and processing or shipping profiles. Photos and quantity aren’t on Etsy’s list, and in Etsy’s words, “Etsy doesn’t have a way to bulk upload new listings, but you can create one listing and copy it to save time.”5 Our bulk editing guide walks through it.
- Shared access. Since September 22, 2026, you can invite up to five team members, each with their own Etsy account. They can manage orders, edit and publish listings and message buyers. They can’t see your stats or finances. “Every team member receives the same access level,” and an Etsy account can belong to only one shop at a time, so a helper on two of your shops needs two Etsy accounts.6
- Research. Shop Stats shows the search terms buyers used to find your listings. Marketplace Insights shows Etsy’s own search counts, with “up to 15 keyword searches per week for free” (Etsy Plus has no limit). Insights “won’t update your listings for you.”7
- Several shops. You can run more than one shop, but each needs its own Etsy account and email, and “most browsers won’t allow you to be signed in to multiple Etsy accounts at one time.”8
Cost: free. Where it stops: no bulk upload of new listings, one access level for everyone, and one account per shop.
3. Vela
Main job: creating, bulk editing, copying and publishing listings for Etsy, Shopify, eBay and Faire.
Cost at 300 listings: Lite is $29.95 a month per shop for up to 500 listings, and Plus is $39.95. There’s no yearly plan and no free plan, and each new shop gets a one-week free trial.9
Team and shops: you can connect unlimited shops to one account. Vela describes team access as one shared login: “You can share a single subscription and login with any members of your team.”9 Our Vela comparison covers the rest.
4. Alura
Main job: Etsy research and listing optimization: keyword, product and competitor research, plus an optimizer that can “Push your updates live to Etsy in one click.”10
Cost at 300 listings: Growth optimizes up to 1,000 listings for $14.99 a month, billed yearly. To connect several shops you need Professional, at $29.99 a month on the same yearly billing.10
Team: Alura’s terms say “accounts cannot be shared.”10 More in our Alura comparison.
5. eRank, Marmalead and EverBee
These are research tools. They help you choose the words and the products. Getting those words into 300 listings is a different job.
- eRank does keyword research, listing audits and competitor tracking. Pro, $9.99 a month, covers 4,000 listings and 10 shops; Basic stops at 200 listings. Its pricing page lists research and audit tools, not listing edits.11
- Marmalead does keyword research with search volumes and forecasts, and grades listings. It’s $19 a month, with no free plan shown. Its Chrome extension gives you “A title you can copy. A full set of 13 tags you can paste.”12
- EverBee is built for “identifying top-selling products on Etsy.” Growth is $299 a year (EverBee shows it as $24.99 a month), with 3 store connections and 100 AI actions a month.13
For the full side-by-side of keyword tools, see our guide to the best Etsy SEO tools.
6. Craftybase (now Stocksmith)
Main job: inventory, costing and manufacturing for small-batch makers, so you know what your materials cost per item.
Cost for the shop: plans are priced by order lines a month. Pro starts at $20 for up to 25 lines and one user, so a shop with a sale a day lands on Studio, $49 a month for 26 to 250 lines, with unlimited users. You can try any plan free for 14 days.14
7. Canva
Main job: design, for listing graphics, mockups and photo touch-ups.
Cost: Pro is US$144 a year “for one person.” “Only one person can use a Canva Pro account,” and Business, US$250 a year per person, is the plan Canva points teams to. If your VA makes graphics too, budget for Business.15
When Etsy’s free tools are enough
If you run one shop with fewer than about 100 listings, nobody helps you, and you already know which tag to add, Etsy’s own tools do the job. As I wrote about Etsy’s bulk edit: “Start here before you pay for anything.” For keywords, Shop Stats and Marketplace Insights are Etsy’s own numbers, and that’s where I’d start at any size.
Pay when one of the jobs above starts eating hours every week. Not before.
How to choose without paying twice
Look at last week. Which job took the most hours? Pay for that one first, then check what the tool already includes before you add another. Listadum includes the Keyword Explorer from the Starter plan up, so on Growth you already have a keyword tool. Alura and Listadum overlap too: both do keyword research and listing optimization, so you rarely need both.
If last week’s hours went into listings, start with Listadum’s Free plan. Connect every shop, see the completion score on every listing, and pay only when you’re ready to change them in bulk.
Questions sellers ask
How much does Etsy take from a $100 sale?
For a US seller with no shipping charge: a 6.5% transaction fee ($6.50) and payment processing of 3% plus $0.25 ($3.25), so $9.75 per sale. Add the $0.20 listing fee, and you keep $90.05. Offsite Ads and currency conversion cost extra when they apply.16 Our Etsy fee calculator does the math for your own prices.
Can I run several Etsy shops with one login?
Not on Etsy itself. Each shop needs its own Etsy account and email, and most browsers won’t keep you signed in to several at once.8 Listadum connects all your shops to one login, on every plan, including Free.
How we checked, and sources
The shop numbers come from Listadum’s database of Etsy shops with at least one active listing, grouped by Etsy’s top-level category, physical and digital shops together, and never added across categories. Tool prices and quotes are from each tool’s own pages as of October 14, 2026. Listadum facts are from our own product.
- Listadum category benchmarks, snapshot October 14, 2026: Etsy shops with at least one active listing, 8,535 (Shoes) to 536,665 (Home & Living) per category; sales in the last 28 days and active listings, by percentile.
