For a shop with 100 or more listings, the best Etsy SEO tool is the one that gets keywords into your listings. Find the words in Etsy’s free Shop Stats and Marketplace Insights. Put them into hundreds of live listings with Listadum’s Bulk Edit, or with Etsy’s free bulk edit for a simple swap.
I’ve sold on Etsy since 2020 and co-founded Listadum, and I still remember the week my shop crossed 100 listings. It felt like a second job I never applied for, and none of it was keyword research. It was opening listings one by one to add a tag I had already picked. That second job is what this page is about.
The short version, in one table
The last column is the monthly plan you’d need for that tool’s main job on a shop with 300 listings. None of the research tools says it edits many listings at once, and Marmalead, Sale Samurai and Koalanda state no listing limit.
| Tool | Main job | Edits your Etsy listings? | Free plan | Monthly price for a 300-listing shop |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Change: put keywords into many listings | ||||
| Listadum | Check every listing, edit hundreds at once | Yes, many at once | Listing editor and completion score; no Bulk Edit | Growth, $30 per shop |
| Etsy bulk edit | Edit many listings at once | Yes, many at once | Free for every seller | $0 |
| Find: keyword research | ||||
| Etsy Marketplace Insights | Etsy’s own search counts | No | 15 searches a week | $0 |
| eRank | Keywords, listing audits | No, you edit on Etsy | 5 lookups a day, 50 listings | Pro, $9.99 (4,000 listings, 10 shops) |
| Alura | Keywords, product research, listing optimizer | Yes, from one listing | 5 searches a day per tool, optimizes 10 listings | Growth, $29.99 (optimizes 1,000 listings) |
| Marmalead | Keyword forecasts, listing grades | Not stated | None | $19 (one plan) |
| EverBee | Product research | Not stated | 10 keyword searches | Growth, $39 (unlimited keyword searches) |
| Sale Samurai | Keywords, product research | Not stated | 20 keyword searches a month | $19.99 (one paid plan) |
| EHunt | Keywords, listing optimizer | Yes, from one listing | 5 keyword searches a day, no listing optimization | Basic, $9.99 (50 optimizations a day) |
| Koalanda | Keywords, listing editor | Yes, from one listing | A few searches a day (no number published) | $11.99 (5 shops) |
Why 100 listings is a big shop
In Listadum’s October 2026 snapshot of active Etsy shops, the median shop has between 3 and 16 active listings, depending on the category. At 100 listings your shop is bigger than three in four active shops in every one of Etsy’s 15 top categories.2 That’s why “start with a free plan” is fine advice for a new shop and weak advice for yours: the free plans in the table that count listings stop at 50 or fewer.
Past the free plans, research stays cheap at any size, as the table shows.
The editing doesn’t stay small. 100 listings with 13 tags each is 1,300 tags, and every round of changes means touching them again.
Change: getting keywords into hundreds of listings
Listadum
We built Listadum for our own shops, so it starts where the research tools stop. It’s for sellers with 100 or more listings, several shops, or a VA, who know what to change and need to change it on a lot of listings without breaking anything.
Every listing gets a free completion score from 0 to 100, based on rules from Etsy’s Seller Handbook, so you can see which listings need work before you touch them.3 Then Bulk Edit lets you pick those listings and change them together:
- Add tags straight from your Keyword Lists or the Keyword Explorer.
- Search and replace across titles, tags, descriptions and materials.
- Check the whole batch in a queue before anything reaches Etsy. Nothing changes until you publish.
Bulk Edit works on one shop at a time.
Price: the Free plan (listing editor, completion scores, shop critique) costs nothing, with no card. Per shop, Starter is $15 a month and adds the keyword tools. Growth is $30 a month ($20 a month billed yearly) and adds Bulk Edit and Time Machine.3
Etsy’s own bulk edit (in Shop Manager)
Tick the listings you want, or the box at the top to select them all, choose an action under Editing options, and select Apply. It covers titles, tags, descriptions, prices and several profiles, and sellers use its find and replace on descriptions.4 Etsy’s optional AI title tool can also suggest and update titles on one or many listings written in English.5 It’s free.
The catch: you bring the words. Etsy’s keyword data lives in Marketplace Insights, and Etsy says plainly that “Marketplace Insights won’t update your listings for you.”6 So you carry every keyword from one screen to the other yourself.
Etsy’s bulk edit or Listadum’s?
For a one-off change, like last year’s date in your titles, Etsy’s free bulk edit is enough. Use it. The difference shows up when the change is a research job across hundreds of listings.
| Etsy bulk edit | Listadum Bulk Edit | |
|---|---|---|
| Where the tags come from | You type them | Your Keyword Lists or the Keyword Explorer |
| SEO fields | Titles, tags, descriptions | Titles, tags, descriptions, materials, photos and alt text |
| Fixing a mistake | No undo in Etsy’s help | Time Machine restores one listing at a time (title, description, tags, materials, photos). There’s no one-click undo for a whole batch |
| Cost | Free | Growth plan, per shop |
The step-by-step for both, with screenshots, is in our guide to bulk-editing 100+ Etsy listings.
Alura, EHunt and Koalanda can also push an edit to Etsy from a listing you open in them. Koalanda is the closest to Listadum here: it edits titles, tags and descriptions, backs up your listings, and costs less, $11.99 a month for 5 shops against $30 per shop for Growth. Koalanda doesn’t say it edits many listings at once. Bulk Edit’s extra cost buys exactly that: one change across hundreds of listings, checked as one batch before it reaches Etsy.
Before you change tags on 300 listings
The listings that already sell pay your bills, so sellers are careful with them, and they swap stories about it. “I’ve heard horror stories about listings dropping in ranking after the smallest change,” one seller wrote on r/EtsySellers.7 Etsy doesn’t publish what an edit does to ranking. It does say changes “can take up to one day to reflect in search.”8 So work in a way you can check:
- Start with listings that get few views. Leave your best sellers out of the first round. Sort by views and completion score, not by gut feeling.
- Get the words from search data. In Shop Stats, under “How shoppers found you,” choose Etsy search to see the terms buyers already used to find your listings.9 Fill the gaps from Marketplace Insights or a research tool. Follow Etsy’s own rules: use all 13 tags, use phrases of up to 20 characters, and don’t repeat what your category and attributes already say.10 Our guide on writing Etsy tags that get found goes deeper.
- Download a CSV of your listings first. If a change goes wrong, you can copy the old text back from it. Etsy suggests this before its AI title updates, and Listadum exports one on the Growth plan.5
- Check before it reaches the whole shop. In Listadum, read the queue before you publish. In Etsy’s tool, run the change on five listings first and check them.
- Give it a day or two, then judge by your stats. Etsy says comparing your own search results over time or across devices “isn’t an effective way to determine where your listings are appearing in search.”11 Watch views and search terms in Shop Stats instead, then do the next batch. It’s also why this page doesn’t weigh rank trackers.
Find: keyword research tools
For a shop your size, the research tool matters less than most roundups make it sound. Start with Etsy’s own data: Shop Stats shows the terms buyers already used to find you, and Marketplace Insights fills the gaps. If you’re on Growth for Bulk Edit, Listadum’s Keyword Explorer is already in your plan. It draws on more than 10 million Etsy keywords, refreshed about monthly, and saves them to the Keyword Lists that Bulk Edit adds tags from.3
If you want a separate research tool, pick it by the job. eRank Pro is the cheap pick for a big shop: $9.99 a month covers 4,000 listings across 10 shops. Marmalead suits seasonal goods, with a year of history and a 3-month forecast for each keyword. EverBee suits deciding what to make next, with sales and revenue estimates for listings. Pay for one, not three. They estimate differently, and one seller who uses the free plans of both eRank and EverBee says “their data is often contradictory.”21
Etsy Marketplace Insights
Marketplace Insights shows how many times a term was searched on Etsy and how many listings compete for it over the last 30 days, plus similar terms and a trend.6 It’s free for up to 15 keyword searches a week, unlimited with an Etsy Plus subscription, and works on desktop and mobile web only. That’s a few listings’ worth of research, not a catalog’s.
eRank
eRank is a keyword tool with keyword ideas, a tag report, listing audits against Etsy’s guidelines and a Chrome extension.12 It doesn’t edit your listings: its help says to “use the green ‘Edit on Etsy’ button” and make the change on Etsy.1
Plans run from Free up to Expert at $29.99 a month, and Basic ($5.99) stops at 200 connected listings, so a 300-listing shop needs Pro.12 More in our eRank vs Listadum comparison.
Alura
Alura combines keyword and product research (with sales estimates) and a listing optimizer that can “push your updates live to Etsy in one click.” It also runs A/B tests, Pinterest pins and email marketing.13
On monthly billing, Basic is $11.99, Growth $29.99 and Professional $69.99. The optimizer covers 100 listings on Basic and 1,000 on Growth, and more than one shop needs Professional.13 Our Alura vs Listadum post goes through the rest.
Marmalead
Marmalead scores keywords for searches, engagement and competition, shows how a keyword moves over a year, forecasts it 3 months ahead, and grades your listings. Its pages tell you to apply what you find to your listings, without saying Marmalead makes that change on Etsy.14
It’s one plan, $19 a month, with no free plan, and its numbers show as meters rather than counts (in its own words, “We hide the math”).14 See Marmalead vs Listadum.
EverBee
EverBee is mostly product research: sales and revenue estimates for listings, plus keyword volume, trends and a tag analyzer. It doesn’t say it edits your titles or tags.15
Growth is $39 a month and Business $99, with no free trial. The free Hobby plan covers 10 keyword searches and hides the sales data.15 EverBee vs Listadum covers the rest.
Sale Samurai
Sale Samurai does keyword research with monthly search volume, a listing creator that fills tags and writes titles, and an A/B listing tester. Its pages talk about publishing listings and promoting A/B test winners, but they don’t say it edits listings that are already live.16
The free plan allows 20 keyword searches and 10 listing analyses a month, the paid plan is $19.99 a month, and there’s a 3-day free trial.16 More in Sale Samurai vs Listadum.
EHunt (formerly EtsyHunt)
EHunt has a keyword tool, an AI title and description generator, a free tag generator and a listing optimizer that can “apply changes directly to Etsy with one click.”17 It also tracks keyword rankings.
Listing optimization starts on Basic at $9.99 a month with 50 optimizations a day. Pro is $19.99 and Elite $59.99.18 See EtsyHunt vs Listadum.
Koalanda
Koalanda does keyword research with a search score, competitor research, an SEO issues report, and a listing editor where you can “edit the title, tags, and description of your Etsy listings without ever leaving Koalanda.” It backs up your listings several times a day and keeps the backups for a year.19
It’s $11.99 a month, less on longer billing, with 5 connected shops on every plan. It can’t create new listings.19
FAQ
Are Etsy keyword tool search volumes accurate?
Treat third-party numbers as estimates. Marmalead calls its numbers a forecast, eRank says its keyword comparisons use data collected from Etsy and Google, and Koalanda says its search scores are 90% accurate at showing which of two keywords is more popular.20 For Etsy’s own counts, use Marketplace Insights.
Can ChatGPT do Etsy SEO?
It can draft titles and tags. Etsy’s AI title tool drafts titles, and Listadum’s AI Helper drafts titles and descriptions. Etsy calls its own AI title suggestions “starting points for your own experimentation, not prescriptions,” and that’s the right way to treat any AI draft.5 Take the words from Shop Stats or Marketplace Insights first, then check every draft against Etsy’s tag rules before you publish it.
