What the analyzer checks on your shop
The shop checks follow the Etsy Seller Handbook. Each one is a yes or a no:
- A shop icon
- A shop title
- A rating of 4 stars or more
- At least 1 review for every 5 sales
- A privacy policy
- A return policy
- A shop announcement
- A message to buyers after each sale
- A message for digital downloads, if your shop sells them
How the listing SEO score works
Each listing gets a score out of 100. Titles and tags carry 60 of the points. Here is what each part needs:
- Title30 points
- At least 40 characters, with at least one of your tags in it.
- Tags30 points
- All 13 tags used, no tag repeated inside another, and no single-word tags.
- Description20 points
- At least 100 words, using the words from your tags.
- Photos10 points
- At least 5 photos, each with alt text, and none under 2,000 pixels on both sides.
- Video5 points
- At least one video.
- Category3 points
- The most specific category Etsy offers for the item.
- Return policy2 points
- A return policy set on the listing, for physical items.
The report sorts issues by impact. Missing tags, repeated tags and a title with none of your tags are high impact. Missing alt text is low impact.
Past 20 listings
