Etsy Fee Calculator Canada
If you sell from Canada, Etsy takes a 6.5% transaction fee, 3% + CA$0.25 for processing on Canadian and US orders (4% + CA$0.25 on orders from other countries), a 0.50% regulatory operating fee and USD 0.20 per listing. It also adds GST/HST to its fees. Which fees get taxed depends on whether you're registered and where your buyer is.

Both columns are a CA$25 order with no shipping charged and no ads, from a seller who isn't registered for GST/HST, in a 5% GST province. On the Canadian order, Etsy already charged the buyer GST/HST, so the only GST on your fees is 2 cents, on the listing and regulatory fees.
On the order from abroad, processing goes up to 4% and GST applies to every fee, so Etsy's cut rises from 12.2% of the sale to 13.8%.
Do you pay GST/HST on Etsy fees?
Yes, on most of them. Etsy charges tax on its fees at your province's rate: 5% GST in Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and the territories, 13% HST in Ontario, 14% in Nova Scotia and 15% in New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador and Prince Edward Island. Quebec sellers also pay QST, and British Columbia sellers pay 7% PST on all Etsy fees. Manitoba and Saskatchewan sellers pay no PST on fees.
Whether you're registered decides which fees are taxed. If you're registered for GST/HST, Etsy charges it on all your fees. If you aren't, and Etsy already charged your Canadian buyer GST/HST at checkout, Etsy doesn't charge it on that order's transaction and processing fees. Listing fees and ad fees are always taxed.
Two more rules change the math. Etsy requires Canadian sellers to put applicable taxes in their listing prices, unless Etsy collects them. Outside the US, the transaction fee is charged on that price with the tax in it. And when Etsy collects GST/HST from your Canadian buyer, the processing fee is charged on the order total with that tax included, so your fee runs slightly above what the calculator shows.
You have to register for GST/HST once your sales reach CA$30,000. Etsy says to ask your tax accountant whether you can claim back the tax it charges on your fees.

We left Etsy's 2.5% currency conversion fee out of the calculator. You pay it when you list in a currency other than your payment account's, for example a Canadian shop listing in US dollars. Etsy's one-time set-up fee for new shops, where it applies, and income tax aren't in the calculator either.
