Setting your shop's branding
Last updated onBranding is where you tell Listadum how your shop looks and sounds. Our AI features read from it, so the images and text they produce come out closer to your shop instead of generic.
You set it once. Every AI feature picks it up from there, with no extra setup per listing.
What you can set
Visual style: The look you want AI-generated images to follow.
Color palette: The colors that show up in your products, your photos, and your shop.
Text style: How you want AI-written text to sound, so titles and descriptions read like you wrote them.
Custom instructions: An optional free-text box where you can add anything the settings above don't cover. This goes to the AI alongside your other choices.
Where to set it
Most sellers set their branding during onboarding, when we ask you to pick a style, a palette, and a text style before you start.
You can change any of it later. Go to Store settings > Branding, update what you want, and save.
Branding is per shop. If you run several shops in Listadum, each one has its own, which is usually what you want when the shops sell different things.
What to put in custom instructions
The custom instructions box is for the specifics a preset can't capture. Some things worth putting there:
Materials or techniques you use that should show up correctly ("hand-thrown stoneware, visible throwing rings, matte glaze")
Props or settings that fit your product, or ones to avoid ("no plastic props," "natural linen and light wood only")
Words you use or never use in your listings
Anything about your product that AI keeps getting wrong
Keep it concrete. "Warm, cozy, aspirational" gives the AI less to work with than "soft morning light, linen textures, muted greens and creams."
Do you have to set it up?
No. The AI Photo Studio and our other AI features work without it, using default settings.
But the results are noticeably more yours when it's filled in, and AI image generation costs credits, so it's worth the few minutes before you start generating rather than after.
Branding and raw images
These are the two things that shape AI output, and they do different jobs.
Branding tells the AI how your shop looks and sounds. It's shop-level, set once.
Raw images tell the AI what a specific product actually is. They're per listing, uploaded in the Photos section of the Listing Editor.
Set both and the AI has the full picture: your style, and the real item. See our article on raw images for what makes a good one.
What it doesn't do
Branding shapes what the AI produces. It doesn't change your existing listings, your existing photos, or anything on your Etsy shop. Nothing is applied anywhere until you choose to apply it.
