Sharing variations and details with Profiles

Last updated on

Profiles let you define something once and share it across many listings, so a change in one place updates every listing attached to it. There are three types.

Variation profiles

An inventory configuration shared between listings: prices, quantities, variations, and so on. Example: a phone-case seller keeps one variation profile with every model they support (iPhone 16, iPhone 17, and so on). When the iPhone 18 launches, they add it to the profile once, and every listing attached to that profile instantly offers the iPhone 18 option.

Personalization profiles

The same personalization question reused across listings, so you're not rewriting "What name would you like?" on every product.

Details profiles

Shared listing details: who made it, when it was made, whether it's a finished product, materials, and production partners.

Attaching and detaching

Attach or detach a profile on a single listing from that listing, or across many listings at once with Bulk Edit. Once listings are attached, editing the profile updates all of them together.
