How listing synchronization works

Last updated on

Listadum keeps a copy of your shop so it can track your progress and give you tools on top of your listings. Synchronization is how that copy stays current with Etsy.

The automatic daily refresh

Your listings, orders, and shop info are refreshed automatically once a day (the exact time varies). This is what lets Listadum follow your shop's progress from the moment you first connected it, and track statistics like views, favorites, and sales over time.

When a listing gets out of sync

Because the automatic refresh runs once a day, a listing can temporarily fall out of sync with what you see on Etsy, most often when you've made a change directly in Etsy's Shop Manager. When that happens, you can refresh manually.

Refresh your whole shop (light sync)

Request a refresh two ways. From Store settings, go to General and click "Synchronize listings" in the "Refresh listings" box under Synchronization. Or from the Listing Manager, click the last-refreshed indicator at the top, then "Synchronize now."

This is a light synchronization: it only pulls in the listings that changed recently. It's limited to once per day for non-subscribers, and unlimited for subscribers.

One thing to know: a light sync usually won't clear out listings you deleted on Etsy. Only the full daily synchronization removes deleted listings.

Refresh a single listing

To bring just one listing up to date, open it in the editor, go to the "Actions" section, and click "Synchronize." That downloads the latest information for that listing from Etsy, so you can edit it in Listadum without losing any of your recent Etsy changes.
