There are about 5–7 million Etsy shops competing for the same limelight. Most Etsy sellers are hobbyists who have probably been told by their friends, “Hey, you should sell that!”
When I opened my Etsy shop in 2020, I was just an artist trying to learn digital art on Procreate, and I remember thinking, “Oh! This art is cool—let me try to sell it.” I had heard a lot about Etsy, so I decided to give the platform a try.
The setup was fairly straightforward, and after 2–3 days of figuring out listing images, branding images, and other essential things Etsy needs you to complete before opening a shop, I was ready with my first listing. I was excited. I researched, researched, and researched more to learn how to create good-quality listing images—because I thought that was the key to making sales.

Three months went by before I got my first genuine sale (the first one was from my sister, with a glowing 5-star review, of course 🙂). I’m not going to lie—I felt pretty low during those three months of no sales, but I was over the moon when I made my first real sale, and many more after that.
At that time, I started hanging out in the Etsy audio rooms of an app called Clubhouse. There was a 24-hour room where Etsy sellers would go in and out and talk about all things Etsy. It was so nice to connect with other sellers and, honestly, very motivating. Some of them were seasoned sellers, yet so humble about sharing their knowledge with others.
That’s when I realized most Etsy sellers were asking the same question: “How do I get more sales?” Most had no clue what Etsy SEO meant or how to optimize their listings to get more eyes on their products.
I was working as a product manager at the time, building features and products for tech companies. Of course, I needed to create something for my newly acquired community of Etsy sellers.

Fortunately for me, my husband (Cyril) is an amazing software engineer and an entrepreneur. So we started this quest to simplify selling on Etsy—for newbies like me and the millions of other sellers who join Etsy every year. We really wanted to demystify SEO for all sellers and help them become successful.
Hence, Listadum was born!
We built the Shop Critique Tool as a quick way to check your shop against the Etsy Seller Handbook requirements. We read the entire handbook to make sure we created a list of checks to make a shop “complete” in the eyes of the Etsy algorithm gods.
The tool soon evolved, adding a richer feature set to cater to both new and seasoned sellers. Listadum is now an all-in-one listing manager that helps you create and manage your listings with ease—because as creators, you need more time with your art and less time uploading listings.
Etsy gives sellers amazing tools—but not always clear direction.
You might hear tips like “use all 13 tags” or “focus on SEO,” but what does that actually mean in practice? Which keywords matter? Are your photos helping or hurting your click-through rate?
Before Listadum, most sellers relied on trial and error—or copied what competitors were doing. The problem? That approach doesn’t always work. Every shop is different, and Etsy’s algorithm rewards listings that are complete, relevant, and consistently perform well.
Listadum makes that visible. We show you what’s missing, what’s working, and what to fix—step by step.
Listadum started with a simple goal: help Etsy sellers grow without wasting hours trying to figure out why something isn’t working.
We analyze your listings and highlight everything that matters for Etsy’s search and buyer experience—titles, tags, photos, descriptions, categories, and more. Then, we score each listing from 0 to 100 so you can instantly see where you stand.
But we didn’t stop there. We give you recommendations to actually improve those scores, based on Etsy’s Seller Handbook and real data from successful shops.
You don’t need to be an SEO expert—you just need to follow clear steps that make sense.
We know that behind every Etsy shop, there’s a maker juggling creativity, packaging orders, customer messages, and marketing all at once. You didn’t start your shop to spend hours second-guessing your listings—you started it to share your craft and make sales doing what you love.
That’s why Listadum exists—to bring back confidence. To help you know exactly where to focus next. To turn confusion into clarity, and effort into results.
