When you log into Listadum, the Listing Manager is probably the first page you visit. On this page, you’ll see four tabs: Listings, Templates, Profiles, and Snippets.
So what exactly are Snippets?
Imagine you have pieces of information that you repeat often in your product descriptions —like materials used, dimensions, or shipping details. Normally, you might save these in a notes app and copy-paste them with small edits for each new listing. Sound familiar?
Snippets is a FREE feature that simplifies this workflow for you! You can now save those frequently used pieces of text on Listadum in a Snippet, and use them to quickly insert them when creating or editing the product description for your listings.
Snippets can help you:
- Save time by eliminating repetitive tasks
- Maintain consistency across all your listings
- Build buyer trust with clean, professional product information
When your shop has clear and consistent details, it not only makes you look like a pro but also gives buyers the confidence to shop with you.
How can I create snippets?
- Go to the Snippets tab in your Listing Manager
- Click on the “Create snippet” button in the top right corner
- Enter a name, this will used to retrieve your snippet later
- Enter the text of your snippet, this is the text that will inserted in your description when you use the snippet
- Save
How to use snippets?
- Start editing or creating a listing in the Listing Manager
- Go to the product description section of your listing
- Put your cursor in the place where you want the snippet’s content to be inserted
- Your available snippets are visible at the bottom of the text box, click on any snippet to insert its content into the description
Examples of snippets
Here are some of the most common use cases for snippets we have observed:
- Materials Used, eg: “Made from eco-friendly, sustainably sourced cotton.”
- Dimensions, eg: “Dimensions: 8×10 inches (20×25 cm).”
- Shipping Information, eg: “Orders ship within 2-3 business days with free shipping over $50.”
- Care Instructions, eg: “Hand wash only; air dry to maintain quality.”
- Custom Order Policy, eg: “Custom orders take 5-7 business days; message for details.”
- Return Policy, eg: “Returns accepted within 14 days; buyer pays return shipping.”
- Shop Announcement, eg: “Holiday sale: 20% off all seasonal items!”
- FAQs, eg: “Yes, we offer gift wrapping; add a note at checkout.”
- Packaging Details, eg: “Items are packaged in recyclable materials for safe delivery.”
- Social Media Links, eg: “Follow us on Instagram @YourShopName for exclusive deals!”
Please note: Editing the snippet will not edit all the listings that used this snippet. But you can use bulk edit or profiles for that.
