Editing tags in the Listing Editor
Last updated onTags are how buyers find your listing in Etsy search. The rules are simple: use all 13 tags, no single-word tags, and avoid repeating the same word across tags. The section flags any tag issues it detects.
See demand and competition without leaving the editor
Hover any tag for a quick quadrant chart showing its demand and competition. Click a tag to open the Keyword Explorer right inside the editor, with the full data on that term. (See the Keyword Explorer article.)

Add tags fast
Add tags one at a time, or paste a comma-separated list to add several at once (any that follow the rules are added automatically). You can also pull from your saved Keyword Lists through the entry point in this section.
On tag length
Etsy allows up to 20 characters per tag. A few countries get an exception and can use up to 30 characters (Germany, for example), and Listadum supports that. (See Etsy's tag guidelines for the full rules.)
Get suggestions
The Keyword Generator suggests tags based on your listing's photos, title, and description, plus what you tell it about the product: what it is, what it's made of, who it's for, and the occasion. You can autofill those details with AI if you'd rather not type them. (See the Keyword Generator article.)
Editing tags is free. The Keyword Generator requires the Starter plan or above and uses AI credits.
